NEW BOOK STARTING SUN., AUG. 4!
New book for Sunday Book Group!!!
Rachael Held-Evans, Searching for Sunday.
"Evans has written a spiritual travel guide for religious runaways. She beautiful takes us with her as she leaves home, wanders, questions, suffers, and then returns. I love how Rachael doesn't shy away from what's ugly in her search for what's beautiful both in herself and the church."

Pastor and author of Pastrix
NEW Wed. evening bible study!!!
Starting Wed. evenings in August, before the HU/HE Service, we will be led by Greg Mann through the Forward Movement Program called 'The Path'. The Path is a way of reading the Bible as a group and understand God's story, the greatest story ever told. Although 88 percent of Americans own a Bible, only 37 percent read the Bible regularly. the Bible is still the best selling book of all time.
The new Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church is Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe, Bishop of NW Pennsylvania and Western NY. His nine year term will begin Nov. 1, 2024.

About New Presiding Bishop!!!
What is the Way of Love?
The Way of Love is a way of life. More than a program or curriculum, it is a return to ancient pathways and Rules of Life that followers of Jesus have observed for centuries. They knew the power of commitment to a core set of practices--Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, Rest--and the power of gathering in a small group where you find love and support for living into these commitments. If we hope to not only worship Jesus but to grow more like him and bear his redeeming love in the world, we can adopt a rule of life like the Way of Love and find a community with which to practice it.

IT'S GARDEN TIME AGAIN!
Garden Beyond Our Walls Ministry-The word garden in the Bible can symbolize the abundance that God offers to human beings, the quiet care that can produce fruitfulness in our lives and in the world around us.

"For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations."--Isaiah 61:11
GARDEN BEYOND OUR WALLS NEEDS YOU!!!!
Our garden is going through an amazing transformation. On Wednesdays, can you start at 9 am and cut and harvest produce? Would you. rather show up at 11 and wash and bound our bountiful harvest? All the above? Mtr. Beverly, Martha, Jerry, and Diana are planting and doing the heavy lifting. These amazing people are just not enough to keep this beneficial ministry going.
"Being a Christian is not essentially about joining a church or being a nice person, but about following in the footsteps of Jesus, taking his teachings seriously, letting his Spirit take the lead in our lives, and in so doing helping to change the world from our nightmare into God's Dream."
...Presiding Bishop Michael Curry
